Happy Monday! It’s been a whirlwind in my world. I got caught up in the United Airlines meltdown but was grateful to arrive home from Guatemala just in the nick of time to be able to see a full day of patients on Thursday and Friday of last week. The mission trip was a resounding success. Our team was able to check and adjust approximately 4,000 people! I’ve added a few new photos below.
It is also nice to be able to celebrate Independence Day with a long weekend to recuperate. As I sit here typing this, I feel incredibly thankful for the gift of upper cervical chiropractic. Our mission team was comprised of 6 awesome students from Sherman College of Chiropractic. It was a surreal, full-circle moment for me with it being my 10th year serving on these trips to Guatemala. I started out going on these trips as a student and it is such an honor to now be a mentor to the younger generation of chiropractors getting ready to graduate. I learned as much from them as they did from me; their passion and energy were contagious!
I hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th tomorrow. It’s my husband’s birthday and we always try and find a nice, quiet spot to disconnect together. As I think about independence I can’t help but think about how health and freedom are intertwined, and how fortunate I am to be a small piece of that puzzle for many of you.
Yours in good health,
Dr. Jane
