“Two or more opposite forces are balanced forces if their effects cancel each other and they do not cause a change in an object’s motion. If two forces of equal strength act on an object in opposite directions, the forces will cancel, resulting in a net force of zero and no movement.”
The key to understanding your body’s ability to adapt on a day-to-day basis is its ability to provide resistance against the stress and forces placed upon it. The healthier your body is the more resistance it can provide, and the more you can do without harm to your body. This is especially important during modern times, where we fit more into our day than at any time in human history.
Although we no longer have to do as much physical labor, we encounter more chemical, psychological, and biological stressors. There is a lot of value to stress management but the KEY is developing resistance. The innate ability to adapt to any stress and overcome whatever may come. Without this, perfect stress management would not be enough.
Keeping fit, eating well, and getting ample sleep are all ways we can supplement and nourish our body’s ability to provide resistance. However, if your nervous system is not at its best, your body CANNOT provide optimal resistance and over time your body will develop disease and degeneration. Getting checked for abnormal misalignments in the spine is one of the best ways to make sure your nervous system runs free of interference and ensure your resistance is UP!
Have a great week,
