Think Globally, Act Locally
It’s a saying we often hear with respect to our environment – to consider the broader impact of our actions on the world at large by taking action in our own communities. This saying just so happens to nicely encapsulate our approach to chiropractic care as well. The traditional approach to care often looks at the area of pain or discomfort and focuses treatment there – i.e. low back pain = low back adjustment. When we take care of our patients here, we take a “global” approach. Based on what we know about the biomechanics of the spine and how that plays into central nervous system function, we take a specific and methodical approach to “locally” adjusting your spine. Your spine works together as a unit. We know that if we just focus on where the discomfort is, we might miss where it’s coming from. And, if we miss where it’s coming from, results are often fleeting. It’s the difference between chasing symptoms and correcting the cause. The great part is we get to choose which path we take. Yours in good health,Dr. Jane |
