Across the healthcare professions, there are established norms for many things. A standard frame of reference exists for what is considered to be normal blood pressure, normal cholesterol levels, or normal temperature. This doesn’t mean that we expect everyone to fit perfectly into these measurements. Nobody is structurally perfect, but there is a healthy range for most people depending on their age and circumstances.
At Precision Chiropractic, we look for a moderate to severe three-dimensional shift of the spine away from its normal position. When the head and neck shift in 3 directions, it can cause the shoulders to twist and the hips to shift, forcing the entire spine out of alignment. These Structural Shifts cause the muscles to spasm, the ligaments to deform, and the nerves that travel down the spinal cord can become compromised. In other words, a Structural Shift can interfere with the main communication system that connects your brain to your body.
The Primary Condition we work with is called the ATLAS DISPLACEMENT COMPLEX, more commonly referred to as Atlas Subluxation.
