There are four essential elements necessary for human survival:
- Oxygen
- Nutrients (found in water and in food)
- A narrow range of temperature
- A narrow range of atmospheric pressure
To be healthy you need a body that is capable of processing and adapting to these four elements. Your nervous system is specifically designed to regulate and direct our bodily functions in this regard.
For instance – lungs healthy enough to bring oxygen out of the air and into our red blood cells, or the ability to manage internal body temperatures despite ever-changing external environments.
There are four essential things we need to do to ensure our body can function optimally:
- Get enough sleep
- Exercise
- Eat healthy food
- Care for your spine, which houses your central nervous system
I have deliberately kept this simple because it is. It doesn’t make life any less amazing or awe-inspiring. Rather, the simplicity of it is what makes it so powerful. But in the modern world, it is easy to fall into the vortex of opinions, news, and information. Always return to the essentials, the things that we have intuitively known this whole time, and get to work on making them better!
