“If you find something very difficult to achieve yourself, don’t imagine it impossible – for anything possible and proper for another person can be achieved as easily by you.” -Marcus Aurelius
You know the stories you see and read about amazing human accomplishments? Those feats are possible for you too. Whether it is scaling Mt. Everest or swimming across the English Channel, these accomplishments show what human beings are capable of. Think of that goal that you have for yourself – is it to lose 15 lbs? Maybe a personal best in the mile run?
Since Roger Bannister ran the first sub-4-minute mile in 1954, there have been over 1400 other athletes that have achieved this accomplishment, which is now the standard for professional runners. Once he broke that barrier, it gave everyone who made that attempt afterwards a new sense of what was possible. Use the stories and relationships around you to achieve your goals.
If it is possible for them it will be possible for you!
Have a great week,
Dr. Jane
